About the Author

Barret Griffy is a professional musician, music educator, author, entrepreneur, drummer, and most importantly husband and father of his two amazing children: Sawyer and Kaylee Griffy.
Barret graduated from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga with his BM in Music Education in 2016. He started a private music instruction studio called, “Insane Rhythm Music Lessons,” where he has taught his love and passion for music to thousands of students.
Barret started writing children’s books in the beginning for just his kids, but as a creative at heart, he soon fell in love with it.
“Sam the Believer Beaver,” was Barret’s first children’s book publication. It’s about two beavers who learn the importance of team work and believing in themselves.
In “Lilly the Incredible Elephant,” Barret’s second children’s book publication, Lilly with her brother Brian’s help, learns the importance of loving oneself.
“Timmy and his Dragon,” Barret’s third children’s book, is about a little boy named Timmy who has an exciting adventure with his new best friend, a dragon!
“Caleb the Curious Bear Cub,” Barret’s fourth children’s book, is about a curious little bear cub named Caleb, his brother, and his Mother. Caleb doesn’t listen to his mother, as he should, and instead goes out on a wintery adventure the reader will never forget, and learns, in the end, maybe...mom was right after all!
“Adam and Zee’s Space Adventure,” will be Barret’s fifth children’s book. Adam, a little boy who loves space, meets Zee, an alien who crash-lands into his backyard! They become best of friends as Zee takes Adam all throughout the Milky Way Galaxy in his spaceship to explore and learn all about the wonders of space. Look for this title to be published in 2026.
